- First of all you need to think of how long it takes to complete your gig, if it takes more than five minutes I would not do it if you’re not really low on cash. Why not? Because if you get ten orders and your gig takes let’s say 15 minutes to complete, it will take you two and a half hours to only earn $40. Now if your gig only took five minutes to complete you would be done in less than one hour! Times is money and you don’t want to be locked up doing gigs all day long.
- The second thing you will need to take in to consideration is the effort you will have to put in to each gig. Does it require you doing mind numbing work or is it just for you to click a button to complete the gig? It is wise to automate the process of completing your gigs. Let’s say you offer to create 50 backlinks in your gig. Would it not be smarter to search for automated software that could create the backlinks for you instead of you having to create the backlinks manually?
- The third thing is to look at how many gigs you can do per day. The most popular gigs can get up to 20-30 orders per day, would you be able to keep up with that? If you’re a painter or an article writer it might get very hard after a while. Try to find something that you can do over and over again without actually having to do much work, such as creating eBook covers.
- The last thing I will mention here is that you need to do some research. Are people actually looking for something that you’re offering? Take a look at the green spot that says “I am looking for someone who will” and read what it says there. It’s a list of people looking for other people to do different gigs for them. By looking at that list every now and then you will see what people are actually paying money for. Some things that are constantly on there is: programming, writing and designing things.

Blogs – By blogging about your gig people will easily find it and if you have a bunch of followers then they will have no problem in ordering your gig. This is proven to work well on things such as backlink building, designing, article writing, video creation, music etc. Just make sure that your blog is in the same category as your gig is.

A video can help you in two ways. First of all you will get viewers if you upload it to YouTube with a clever title describing what you offer. Secondly it is possible to use those videos on your Fiverr.com gig’s page. This will make your gig more attractive and a lot of people will watch your video. If your video is well made then you will get a lot of orders.
Forums – Today there are forums for everything you can imagine. This is actually where my main source of traffic comes from. This way I get targeted traffic that converts really well on my gigs.
